About this deal

The inclusion of a ‘Game Menu’ bar further bolsters the television’s case as a gaming monitor - it’s possible to check on the most relevant aspects of performance while remaining in-game rather than having to exist into the main menu pages. Gaming: At first I was worried when I read this tv had a 20 millisecond response time but I had nothing to worry about.

In fact, it’s very capable where textures of any type are concerned - and it controls difficult and/or complicated patterns well too. As you can imagine, though, this leaves images looking so dark and dull that they’re as tough to watch in their own way as the greyed-over out-of-the-box images are. Look a little deeper, though, and the 55A7GQ actually has quite a bit more going on than mere bang for your buck. If anyone knows, please let me know (No, its definitely not "electrisy-armus", i've tried that a few times already).

The feet are wide set in the default position, but there's a narrow position if you have a small table and aren't planning on wall-mounting it. Finally, it has low input lag and supports every variable refresh rate (VRR) technology, ensuring a responsive, nearly tear-free gaming experience. The image fades and looks washed out as you move even slightly off-center, so it's not a good choice for a wide seating arrangement, as anyone sitting off-center will see a degraded image. For the most part, the Hisense U7H and the Sony X85K deliver similar picture quality, but they each have different strengths.

After a week of use since writing this review, I am very satisfied for what I payed for, and it is my hope this TV will last a good long while. In the previous version as well as on the Samsung TV, I could use the remote control from SKY to switch off/on TV and adjust the volume. There's some noticeable dirty screen effect in the center of the screen, which can be distracting when watching sports or browsing the web.

This is the second time I've bought this brand of TV the other being an older 58" 4K which is a great TV. This now covers all of the main video streaming services most people will need, with Freeview Play on hand so that UK owners can benefit from the handy umbrella interface it provides for the catch-up services of the country’s main terrestrial broadcasters. With this update we've revamped our Gradient testing, added a new test for Low Quality Content Smoothing, and expanded our Audio Passthrough testing. Although it’s far from perfect, there’s still plenty to enjoy about the Hisense E7K Pro and some aspects of its picture-making performance that make it a very watchable TV indeed. Any shot that isn’t pretty much blazingly bright ends up having its depth flattened, its colours shifted and its contrast hammered by the cloying greyness that hangs over everything.Furthermore, in some ways, it's even better for gaming than the more expensive Hisense due to the U7K's faster overall response time. For fast-paced action or sports games, input lag of less than 20ms ensures faster response times can be reproduced on screen, keeping you one step ahead of the competition. Due to its local dimming feature and its significantly better contrast, blacks are much deeper on the U7H, so it performs better in a dark room. There’s enough sharpness – even outside of Dynamic mode – with native 4K content to leave you in no doubt you’re watching a 4K screen, and while upscaling of HD can be a touch rough around the edges, it does keep the 4K feel going. The Viewing Angle: Viewing the screen from a bad angle other than center will wash out the colours and they will appear overly bright.
