About this deal

Before Ashley becomes 'Flashley', she's a 29-year-old medical student reeling from an unexpected breakup with a colleague (Tai Hara, Underbelly: Vanishing Act). If you’ve never stopped into Bellingen while road tripping the NSW mid-north coast, you’re missing out on one of Australia’s cutest, most welcoming towns. Camera Icon Patrick Brammall and Harriett Dyer made Sydney’s distinctive suburbs a ‘character’ in the series Colin from Accounts. Some of the places you may get to on the day are Modus Operandi Brewing Co, Mona Vale, Nomad Brewing Co, Brookvale, 4 Pines Brewing Company, Manly, 33 Degrees Bar, Manly and Yardarm Taphouse, Manly.

While the craft beer here will certainly change your life, the brewery grounds are a real showstopper. Even when things are at their most strained between Ash and Gordon, and even when Colin From Accounts is swinging for its broadest grabbag-style laughs, their rapport always feels grounded.

Consenting to these technologies will allow us to process data such as browsing behavior or unique IDs on this site. This isn’t a gimmick: Boehm’s beers are some of the most complex, balanced and drinkable we’ve yet encountered. That’s right, Flamin Galah doesn’t do lagers so abandon your conventions and get ready to get weird.

Part of this is in the barrel-aging of their brews, but also includes natural carbonation and open fermentation. There’s a very good chance you’ve seen Lord Nelson’s Three Sheets pale ale around town, and there’s no better place to try it than at the source. Sometimes, it's because the show's central couple have taken a risk, or faced their struggles, or genuinely found solace in each other. After ‘No Activity’, real-life couple Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall reteam for Binge’s new series, which is streaming its first season in full now.It also widened its geographical reach giving it southern English brands Bombardier, Waggledance, Courage, the global Young's licence and Scottish brands McEwan's and William Younger. The only person having more fun is you as you sip your way through a range of wayward-winning pale, golden, and amber ales. Then there's Dyer and Brammall's way, with the duo creating and writing the series as well as starring in it, and focusing as much on ordinary existential mayhem — working out who you want to be, navigating complex relationships and learning to appreciate the simple pleasure of someone else's company, for example — as pushing its leads together. Just be sure to pick up some slick merch and a couple of four-packs before you leave—these tasty brews aren't all that easy to come by.

Even better, the brewery operates on an eco-conscious system, championing a number of sustainable-minded practices. The team continues to produce a superb core range (we like the slightly malty pale ale) and genuinely interesting seasonals and one-offs. Everything about this brewery oozes minimalist surf chic, from its hipster merch to its warehouse-style taproom serving some of the best pale ales Australia has to offer. The eight-part series’ supporting actors are all terrific, as well, particularly Helen Thomson ( Rake) as Ashley’s mother and Darren Gilshenan (who starred with Brammall and Dyer in No Activity) as her stepfather, who are both deliciously horrible. The backdrop is homegrown and very Australian, too, as Colin from Accounts was shot in 2021, mostly on location in Sydney.

It turns out to be somewhat of an extreme sliding doors moment; the pair finding themselves thrust together as unlikely caretakers (and bill payers) for the permanently injured hound, who they later name (you guessed it) Colin From Accounts, in a nod to millennial-era banter viewers will immediately grasp without further explanation. In Sydney, there’s the famous Echo Point (in Blue Mountain) and there’s this n Echo Point Park (in Roseville Chase). These venues have also become vibrant community hubs where everyone – from hipsters to hounds – is welcome. And when Ashley is chucked out of her sharehouse by her landlord for showing up with a dog, she winds up at Gordon’s house as a temporary measure. Industrial warehouse vibes, exposed brick and concrete walls with street art across the walls evokes everything that is So Surry Hills and All Kinds of Different.
