About this deal

Olympus Stylus Epic 80 35mm Point and Shoot 35mm Film Camera Tested All Weather Zoom Mju Lomo Silver

The Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom (also known as the the Prima Zoom on the other side of the pond) features an intuitive ergonomic design and impressive functionality across a good range of lighting conditions ✨One of the first versions to take advantage of this new technology was the Canon Sure Shot 60 Zoom. This model featured the smallest range of focal lengths (38mm – 60mm) and the smallest maximum aperture (f/4.5) of all the zoom versions on this list. I'm a 20 year old college student who's fascinated by subminiature photography and soviet cameras. Ironically I mostly shoot either half frame or medium format. Potentially the weirdest model of the bunch, the Canon Sure Shot Owl was manufactured for export only, and never released in Japan. They weren’t missing out on much. Released as a sibling to the model above, the specifications were essentially the same aside from the lenses. The Canon Sure Shot Telemax featured both 38mm and 70mm lenses that you could switch between.

The last of the Canon Sure Shot 35mm cameras on this list is the 85 Zoom, released in 1998. It’s noteworthy for being the smallest, lightest version of the Canon Sure Shots.

The first model to switch from a prime, fixed-length lens to a dual-lens system was the Canon Sure Shot Telemax. CdS element for full-auto program EE. Metering range of EV 5 – 17. Film speed range: ISO 25 – 3200 (with DX code).

Batteries: Older versions use plain-old AA batteries, which are easier to find but don’t last as long as camera specific batteries like other models have.

For autofocusing, the camera uses a near-infrared beam for a triangulation system. Prefocusing is also possible. The clam shell design and pop-up flash of the Canon Sure Shot 70 Zoom are very similar in style to the popular Olympus Mju II. SPC for full-auto program EE. Metering range of EV 6 – 17 (at ISO 100). Film speed range: ISO 50 – 1600 (with DX code). Canon Sure Shot Sleek / Canon Prima Mini II / Autoboy F XL / 32mm f/3.5 Lens / Grey 35mm Point And Shoot Film Camera

Great range of cameras available and friendly customer service that replied promptly. I got a Pentax MV1(came with custom bag as well!) and already enjoying it. Would deffo recommend! Date imprinting is also available, allowing you to add timestamps to your pictures, even in the panorama format. This is the last model on the list to feature a fixed-length lens, but the smallest max aperture of the bunch at f/4.5. Direct zoom viewfinder. 0.36x – 0.72x magnification and 84% coverage. Within the image area are the AF frame, image-area frame, panorama frame, and close-up frame. Outside the image area is the green OK-to-Shoot LED. This was Canon’s first fully automatic 35mm autofocus camera with a zoom lens. The 35-70mm f/3.5-6.7 zoom lens has 8 elements in 7 groups, and zooming is manual. The shutter is controlled by electronic program EE driven by a stepping motor. Besides the auto mode, the camera also has a slow-speed mode for night scenes and fireworks. If you’re looking for a cheap point and shoot film camera, it would be hard to go wrong with one of the many Canon Sure Shot models. Type of Lens: There are three types of lenses between all of the models. Fixed length, prime lenses (oldest models), dual-lenses with two focal lengths (middle models), and zoom lenses (later models).
